"With great sorrow it is announced that Shahid Murid Talpur passed away on Thursday, the 2nd of June in a tragic car accident. Inna-Lillahi-Wa-Inna-Ilaihi-Rajeoon. He was a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Adelaide since 1999. He was a very sincere and devoted Ahmadi and Moosi, who served the Jamaat in Adelaide in the past as Secretary Umoor-e-Aama and Secretary Taleem. His most recent role was as General Secretary. He was also an active member of the Mosque Committee. He had immense respect for nizam-e-Jamaat and the office bearers. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to drive Huzur's (aba) car during Huzur's (aba) visit to Adelaide in 2006. Prior to moving to Adelaide, he served as Qaid Majlis Latifabad in Hyderabad, Pakistan. In 1992 he became Aseeray-Rahe-Maula (an Ahmadi unjustly imprisoned for professing their faith). He was successful in his professional career as well, being qualified as an Electrical Engineer and worked as a Network Analyst at SA Water before his death.

Shahid Talpur's grandfather was Mir Murid Ahmad Talpur and he took bait on the hands of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II in Qadian. His father was Mir Noor Ahmad Talpur, who was a lawyer and worked for the Government of Sindh in Pakistan. His father served Jamaat as the Ameer of Hyderabad, Pakistan for around 40 years.

Shahid Talpur has left behind his wife and three daughters under the age of 10. He was the only brother of fours sisters, with one in the US, two in the UK and one residing in Sydney, who is also the wife of Waheed Ahmed of Sydney. As a Moosi, he was buried at the Moosiyan Graveyard next to Baitul Huda Mosque in Sydney on Friday the 10th of June after Friday prayers. His sudden demise is a huge loss for his family and the Jamaat. May Allah the Almighty elevate his status in Paradise and grant patience to all his family members. Ameen!"

He was the Father of Dr Abdul Noor Aftab sahib and father in Law of Khaled Abdul Nasir sahib (President Baitul Huda), Murad Khan sahib and Mansoor Ahmad sahib of Sydeny.
 
He was a very dedicated member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and was about to migrate to Australia in two weeks time. By profession he was a lawyer and practicing in High court of India.

Allah the Almighty has blessed Mubarak Ahmed Qamar and Asifa Anjum of Brisbane with a baby girl on the 28th of April 2007. Both mother and the baby are healthy by the Grace of Allah. The infant is named Shafia Noor Qamar.

It is announced with immense sorrow that Mr. Nisar Ahmad Choudhary of Sydney passed away on 29th of May 2007.

Choudhary saheb remained sick of acute cardiac arrest in Blacktown hospital for few days. He was a devout member of Jamat and left behind a widow and three sons, all residents of Sydney. His sons Brs. Zahoor Ahmad Shams, Masood Ahmad and Mahmood Ahmad are dedicated members of Jamat Sydney.

A large number of Jamat members attended the funeral after Friday prayers on 1st of June 2007. He was a ‘moosie' and was buried in the graveyard Bahishti Maqbra Moosia next to Alhuda Mosque in Sydney. May Allah Grant him a lofty place in Paradise and grant patience to the bereaved family. Ameen.

It is announced with sorrow that brother Naseer Mustafa, resident of Halqa Noor in Sydney passed away at the age of 45 in Lahore, Pakistan on the 11th of May 2007. Inna Lillahe-Wa-Inna Ilaihe Rajeoon.

He had gone to Pakistan along with his family to visit their relatives and receive treatment. He fell sick and was admitted in hospital in Lahore where he passed away. He was a gentle, humble and affectionate person as well as being a very devoted member of the Jamaat. Br. Naseer was also an active member of Majlise Ansarullah and Majlis also adopted a resolution of condolence on his demise.

He was also a ‘moosie' and was buried in the graveyard Bahishti Maqbra Moosia Rabwah, Pakistan. May Allah Grant him a lofty place in Paradise and grant patience to the bereaved family. Ameen.

It is announced with immense sorrow that Hazrat Mirza Waseem Ahmad saheb has passed away in Amratsar (India) on 29th of April 2007 at 8.45pm.

Mirza Waseem Ahmad saheb remained Nazre Aala and Local Ameer of Qadian for a very long time. He was 80. He was son of Hazrat Khalifatul Massih II. He suffered heart attack and fever and was admitted to the hospital in Amratsar.

He left behind a widow, three daughters and a son. May Allah grant him a lofty place in Paradise and grant strength to the bereaved family.

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, Mohammad Ahmad Uppal and Syeda Amtul Salam Uppal of Halqa Noor in Sydney have been blessed with their third child. The baby boy was born on the 18th of April 2007 and is named Salman Ahmad Uppal by the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba).

The newborn is the paternal grandson of Mohammad Akram Uppal of Pakistan and maternal grandson of Late Syed Shamul Haq. May Allah grant this child a happy, prosperous and righteous life and make him a sincere servant of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. Ameen.

ACHIEVEMENT

Zeshan Arif, son of Mohammed Arif has by the Grace of Almighty Allah received the role of Class Captain at Boronia Heights State School in Boronia Heights, Queensland for the year 2007.

He has received a letter of appreciation from the Councillor and MP. Many congratulations to Zeshan and may he achieve many more successes in the future.

Maryam Khalid, daughter of Mr & Mrs Aleem Khalid of Sydney currently enrolled in BA LLB at Macquarie University, has completed her BA honours in Politics this year with flying colours.

Her proud parents, Shaheen & Aleem Khalid pray for her every success in the completion of her final year in Law, in 2007. Maryam was awarded a First-Class honours degree and was ranked first in Politics this year.

Congratulations to Farahana Fazilat Irfaan w/o Mohammed Irfaan (Qaid Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Fiji) on graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. The graduation ceremony took place at Callaghan Campus, Newcastle, on Thursday 5th October 2006. Farahana is presently working in Fiji and will migrate with her husband in early January 2007.
