A delegation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia led by the National President, Imam Inam-ul-Haq Kauser met with Cr Ross Fowler, Mayor of Penrith at his office on 18 June 2015. Imam Kauser briefly introduced the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to the mayor. Imam Kauser informed the mayor about a number of initiatives that the Association has taken in the last few years to promote peace and harmony in the society, and its community and humanitarian work in different parts of Australia. “The Association regularly holds interfaith forums in its mosques all over Australia where politicians, community, religious leaders and other interested persons from different faiths are invited” said Imam Kauser.

Imam Kauser extended the invitation of ‘Fasting in my Faith’ to the Mayor. ‘Fasting in my Faith’ is an interfaith gathering which will be held on 4th of July 2015 at Baitul Huda Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosque in Sydney where the Association has also invited Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Sikh and Muslim faith leaders and local community members.
Imam Kauser also presented an English translation of the Holy Quran and ‘World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace’; a collection of speeches and letters by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Khalifa of Islam, the worldwide Spiritual Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam and some community pamphlets.
The mayor told Imam Kauser about the Muslim Mosque crises in Penrith few months ago. The meeting lasted for over an hour and the Mayor thanked members of the delegation for taking their time out and meeting him in his office.
